re: Individuation vs. the Mass Mind

Chris Knowles began a much-needed conversation in his post, The Exegesis: Individuation vs. the Mass Mind. My response just got way too long, so I'm bringing it over here.

Chris,
I'm with you on being anti-statist. It's a major theme within my novel - and a serious threat in our every day. I stopped getting as hung up on the individual vs collective thing - and focus on Voluntarism over Authoritarianism. I support anyone doing whatever they want, as long as they don't impose their will on me.

I believe we need to cherish the individual (both ego and personal id).
Now, as to that thing often referred to as the collective unconscious - it's such a tough call. I know we can tap into something very very real, but, I am unsure of its nature. Is it a collective unconscious or an alien conscious or what?
I've had verifiable/quantifiable Ecco/Valis moments (like getting winning lottery numbers real). But that one was immediately followed by meeting a random 33rd degree, who told me he "could get me in" and "I know you should join." Frats just aren't my style. I declined and the specific data stream stopped.
I've instead focused on honing the knowledge & skill to tap into it on a personal level. That's individualism in one respect, but, like anything, it comes with a lot of info from a lot of others (yourself included). Does that sharing of info create or feed the collective unconscious?
Lately I've had incredible shared/convergent syncs and it seems quite beautiful. But the concept of a hive-mind is not something I find appealing either.
I think the issue is well stated in the Futurama movie The Beast With a Billion Backs. Fun fact: The movie came out on June 24th (Midsummer/St John's Day).
This question is one I have thought a lot about lately. The answer I found was the one I seem to always come back to. It's about balance.
Like musicians - we can harmonize our voices AND play our respective instruments as individual artists to create a new thing that is more than the sum of its parts.
Whatever that otherness/oneness is - we don't have to be assimilated by it - but we should live in harmony with it.

Squares That Touch (A synchronistic graphic novel)

Sometimes synchronicity just makes me laugh. The other day, I started drafting a post on Picasso & Cubism, the SyncWhole crew did a post on cubes after a grid-like crop circle appeared, and Peter Palmiotti called to tell me he was going to restart drawing a graphic novel idea I presented him 3-4 years ago, called Squares That Touch.

If you're a sync-head who enjoys observing the interconnected nature of all things, or just a fan of the graphic novel, you should enjoy this - because it's a marriage of the two. You'll be able to read it free online if you just hop on over to the newly-created SquaresThatTouch blog and sign up for updates.

7/7 - 7/8 Sync Log

I sent Chris Knowles this story: Bertrand Piccard flies solar plane.
Via Twitter, Chris informs us: Bertrand means "shining disk."
This story then synced at the SyncWhole, where they were talking about Dragonflies, since "Shining Disk" Piccard's solar plane is "shaped like a giant dragonfly."

I later went back to the Secret Sun to tell Chris:
Drudge just put a new link directly below that Piccard Solar plane story that reads "Fish talk to each other"
WOW, as I was typing Drudge just reloaded. Piccard is gone, in its place: "Early humans ventured farther north than thought."
The story: Historical revision, pole shifts and more. And I can never see the word "Norfolk" without reading "Merfolk" - just a thing with me. But it's apparently also a type of Pine(al) tree.
"A spectacular haul of ancient flint tools has been recovered from a beach in Norfolk, pushing back the date of the first known human occupation of Britain by up to 250,000 years.
..Archaeologists discovered 78 pieces of razor-sharp flint shaped into primitive cutting and piercing tools.
[See recent Sync Whole for 78 syncs with the Star Cup]
The stone tools were unearthed from sediments that are thought to have been laid down either 840,000 or 950,000 years ago, making them the oldest human artefacts ever found in Britain.
"These tools from Happisburgh are absolutely mint-fresh.
Researchers..began excavating sites near Happisburgh in 2001 as part of the Ancient Human Occupation of Britain project and soon discovered tools from the stone age beneath ice-age deposits. So far, though, they have found no remains of the ancient people who made them.
"This would be the 'holy grail' of our work," said Stringer. "The humans who made the Happisburgh tools may well have been related to the people of similar antiquity from Atapuerca in Spain, assigned to the species Homo antecessor, or 'pioneer man'."
The latest haul of stone tools was buried in sediments that record a period of history when the polarity of the Earth's magnetic field was reversed. At the time, a compass needle would have pointed south instead of north. The last time this happened was 780,000 years ago, so the tools are at least that old.
SyncWhole then talks about Back to the Future, building on a thread that was about Easter Island and the Eastern Star. I took this screencap of the BTTF hoax story, with ad reading 322.
Here's what I wrote in their comments:
Also saw a dragonfly today. And we don't get a lot of those in the city. We must embrace this.

Been a bit obsessed with Time Travel lately, so I followed the link to the Back to the Future story. Immediately noticed an ad for Liberty Insurance reading "Save up to $322" - My first thought was "Ah, 322 - Skull and Bones" but I told myself to ignore that fear-based reaction and look for a brighter meaning. 3/22 is the celebration of Ostara or Easter on the Wheel of the Year. So Easter winks again! The Statue of Liberty on the Ad is the mother goddess.

I want to put something out there. I've been mapping out very strong syncs with the Wheel of the Year dates all throughout 2010. I decided to keep an eye on August 1st and then I learned it is the date of the astrological Cardinal Climax. Suddenly the August 1st date is all over my radar (with August 1st-13th being pointed out by Steve Wilner and Clif High and on and on). Most are putting this as a dire date. Would you guys be willing to spend that day with me focusing on putting out the most positive energy in your hearts? Maybe we can turn this powerful day into something beautiful.
StrangeEye asks me what I think of the Russian "spy" story. Here's what I replied:
re: Russian spies: They are calling her a Femme Fatale - see Eastern Star & "Fatal"
Plus this quote gives us 17 and the 88 keys of the piano: "Juan Lazaro, the 17-year-old son of spy suspects Vicki Pelaez and Juan Lazaro, is an accomplished classical pianist"
My very first post on Honey featured the emerging idea of the Femme Fatale and specifically the number 1788.
It also questioned the importance of the number 88 as 420. As you know, BP spill happened on 4/20.
So, should we be looking at August 8th or the 88th day of the spill (now 8 days away)? I'm going to watch both.
Michael at Gosporn did a post about the dueling/reconciling archetypes represented in the World Cup final.
today (7/7), Spain defeated Germany in the World Cup semi-finals, bringing them to the finals against the Netherlands!

That’s awesome! It’s like Supes (solar hero) vs. Batman (Lord of the underworld). The match is scheduled for 7-11. Since, I believe, that we are currently experiencing a reconciliation of these two archetypes, I will be watching, between the lines, for an example.
This made me remember seeing a lot of ads for the brand-new NJ soccer stadium, "Red Bull Arena" when I went to New Jersey last week, through a Stargate then drank from a Stargate. I should also note that Steve Wilner & Will777 spoke of the prevalent Mars and Taurus energy in Cracks in the Wall (Cracks in the Well?) #5. Well, guess what appeared on Drudge this morning - in the exact location I was watching yesterday - ad and all?

UPDATE:
Speaking of Merfolk, Oannes is all over the map. And he seems to be making people angry.

Here he is with bee-resonant swarming jets: Private Jet SWARM strands semi-final fans

"The situation was described as “absolute chaos” by the pilot of one British Airways flight which took off from Cape Town in mid-afternoon but was diverted to Johannesburg. The baggage hall at OR Tambo international airport in Johannesburg was filled with scores of angry fans."

Today we got the verdict of the BART "shooting," really execution, which was insanely deemed "involuntary manslaughter," after bystanders caught Johannes Mehserle on-tape killing Oscar Grant in cold-blood. But, I guess, if you're a fish, your blood is already pretty cold.
"Fallout from the shooting was swift in Oakland after the videos were shown on television and the Internet. The shooting and the nearly two weeks it took to arrest Mehserle sent the city into a tailspin of violence as downtown businesses were damaged, cars were set ablaze and clashes erupted between protesters and police."

UPDATE:
Chris Knowles pointed out that I missed the Oscar/Ausur connection in the BART story.

Me and My Amanita (and The 317/51 Stargate)

Last week, we went to Mitsuwa Market in New Jersey to pick up some Japanese food products that are hard to find here in the States - even in NYC where we're supposed to be able to find anything.
As soon as I realized that to get there we had to travel through Gate 51 - I was ready for adventure. In my mind, 51 was connected to X51 and the 2001/2010 monolith (and I suppose the famed Area 51). But, it was only within the last few days that I made a connection that has probably been made before by others (but I've never seen it): 51 is the 3/17 of Osiris, since 3 times 17 is 51. (3X17=51 -> 317 & X51) Now I have all the more reason to watch that number.

While there, Melissa snapped this photo of me and my Amanita.

Like everywhere else on Earth, Japan is covered with blatant Amanita symbolism.

For the record, I've actually never responded well to mushrooms, especially compared to similar entheogens, but I'm fascinated by their omni-cultural prevalence - and evolutionary importance, if we consider Terence McKenna's theory.
I couldn’t figure out whether the mushroom is the alien or the mushroom is some kind of technological artifact allowing me to hear the alien when the alien is actually light-years away, using some kind of Bell nonlocality principle to communicate. The mushroom states its own position very clearly. It says, ‘I require the nervous system of a mammal. Do you have one handy?’
Back in New Jersey, Melissa wanted me to try a soft-drink that, for some reason, I didn't try when we were in Japan. It's called CC Lemon. I was fascinated by the name: CC=33 and I read "SunTory" as "StarGate." In Japan, the Torri Gate represents the border between the sacred and the profane.
Melissa told me that Tory probably wasn't short for Torii, but was most likely someone's name. But, it turns out we were both right.
Per Wiki: "Suntory was started by Torii Shinjiro, who first opened his store Torii Shoten in Osaka on February 1, 1899, to sell importedwines."

So we have a product tha
t calls out the Masonic 33, made by a company whose name is literally SunGate or StarGate.

Wiki also tells us that, in the 70s, Suntory enlisted The Carpenters to advertise for them.
These Carpenters:
Fascinating that The Carpenters chose to represent alien life forms as Bee-like creatures @ 0:25 into the video. I highly recommend you refer to Chris Knowles of The Secret Sun for more on The Carpenters interplanetary high weirdness.

But, to me, it's even more fascinating that I entered New Jersey through a Stargate/Monolith-resonating Gate51 and ended up drinking from a Stargate.

With any luck, we are Alethiometers

On Melissa's suggestion, I'm reading The Golden Compass. I just read an interesting passage that reminds me, visually of the Stargate, and conceptually of Synchromysticism.

Page 125:
"I never thought I'd ever set eyes on one of them again. That's a symbol reader. Did he tell you anything about it, child?"
"No. Only that I'd have to work out how to read it by myself. And he called it an alethiometer."
"What's that mean?" said John Faa, turning to his companion.
"That's a Greek word. I reckon it's from aletheia, which means truth. It's a truth measure. And have you worked out how to use it?" he said to her.
"No. Least, I can make three short hands point to different pictures, but I can't do anything with the long one. It goes all over. Except sometimes, right, sometimes when I'm sort of concentrating, I can make the long needle go this way or that just by thinking it."
"What's it do, Farder Coram?" said John Faa. "And how do you read it?"
"All these pictures round the rim," said Farder Coram, holding it delicately toward John Faa's blunt strong gaze, "they're symbols, and each one stands for a whole series of things. Take the anchor, there. The first meaning of that is hope, because hope holds you fast like an anchor so you don't give way. The second meaning is steadfastness. The third meaning is snag, or prevention. The fourth meaning is the sea. And so on, down to ten, twelve, maybe a never-ending series of meanings."
"And do you know them all?"
"I know some, but to read it fully I'd need the book. I seen the book and I know where it is, but I en't got it."
"We'll come back to that," said John Faa. "Go on with how you read it."
"You got three hands you can control," Farder Coram explained, "and you use them to ask a question. By pointing to three symbols you can ask any question you can imagine, because you've got so many levels of each one. Once you've got your question framed, the other needle swings round and points to more symbols that give you the answer."
"But how does it know what level you're a thinking of when you set the question?" said John Faa.
"Ah, by itself it don't. It only works if the questioner holds the levels in their mind. You got to know all the meanings, first, and there must be a thousand or more. Then you got to be able to hold 'em in your mind without fretting at it or pushing for an answer, and just watch while the needle wanders. When it's gone round its full range, you'll know what the answer is."

Sounds a lot like the work being done around these parts of the interwebs, don't it? With any luck, we are Alethiometers.

UFO - Unveiled Frequency Object

Back when I wrote the X-51 post (about Boeing's hyper-sonic vehicle and alien consciousness coming into this dimension via the 2001 Stargate), Michael from Gosporn's comments got me thinking more and more about the nature of Sonics, as they relate to the make-up of time/space.

While this was stewing in my mind, Michael wrote another post displaying some of the examples of heavenly spinning. Since I have been thinking a lot about time-travel, my thoughts immediately jumped to an old episode of Darkwing Duck that featured a time-machine made out of a spinning top. Bonus sync hit: while looking for the ep on YouTube, I found a guy with tons of Darkwing Duck episodes that uses the name BoeingInABox.

This episode is great, in that it not only gives me more semiotic proof of a pet theory - but that it also happens to show the thin line between hero and villain. Human beings are often turned into monsters by their own tragedies, heartbreaks or good intentions. I watched this cartoon tale of a tragedy-fueled Police State just a day or two before Charlie Veitch of The Love Police beautifully explained our modern dilemma at the G20.

While looking for old Darkwing Duck episodes, I noticed another interesting detail. You may be familiar with Chris Knowles and his Alien Dreaming & Widening Gyre study, where he's pointed out that X-Files episodes with alien contact are almost always preceded by episodes dealing with hallucinogens or hallucinogenic consciousness. Well, here we have a Darkwing Duck episode guide from Wiki. First, a character becoming infused with an intelligent plant consciousness, has vivid waking-dream hallucinations in the next episode (while looking for "The Fountain of Knowledge" to boot), and the very next episode features UFO contact.
Incredible.

As all this is coming to my attention, and alien sonics are on my brain, I begin to install a new audio editing program on my computer. While reading the PDF manual I come across this amazing shot of what looks like a classic UFO shot. But, it's just a visual of sound.

Here's a close-up:

So, my friends, if people see these things in altered states - and I can attest to the time I saw music coming out of a speaker - are they witnessing objects that exist in a parallel vibrational state? Are these objects, wether alien in the traditional sense or not, merely outside our normal sensory detection?

Mick Jagger/Michael Jackson - from Angel of Death to Sign of Rebirth

Mick Jagger is being called "The World Cup Angel of Death"

MJ under the Templar flag

Considering we are a year out from Michael Jackson's departure - let's look at these two death-resonating MJs.

They sang together in the song, "State of Shock"

This was off the Jacksons "Victory" Album.

What fascinating album art. It brings together much of what we've looked at on this blog. Lots of repetition of our now familiar yellow and black color scheme - and just look at MJ's Bee Costume ala Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. But, the most obvious feature is the black and yellow road coming out of a stargate in the middle of a blue spiral.
Welcome back Norway Spiral, I've missed you.
