You know how, at the end of each Red Ice episode, they announce upcoming guests? Well, the first Red Ice show to announce me at the end was Steven Greer's "Sirius" episode. I thought that was pretty neat, considering my repeated Sirius syncs. Well, it got funnier, as the episode that aired directly before ours was about Syria (which readers of this blog will know is also connected to Sirius).
This week I had the honor of being on a show hosted by Anthony Peake. I admire Anthony's work and the approach he takes to it very much, so this was a real pleasure for me. I hope you enjoy it!

As some of you already know, my life has been a bit hectic lately (moving a few hours south and trying to wrap up writing the Suicide Kings book, among other things) so that's why there hasn't been a new blog post here in a while. Regardless, I'm happy to offer you something brand new and unique today, a special guest post from Andras Jones. You see, while talking to Andras about Suicide Kings and Kubrick and whatever else we were yapping about, we started talking about a strange little feature of Kubrick release dates. In the book I'm documenting 3 Kubrick movies whose releases coincided with King-Kills (DrStrangelove=JFK, 2001:ASO=MLK, EyesWideShut=JFKjr). When I told this to Andras, he started to wonder what else happened on the days that Kubrick films came out. A damn good question, and the man has done some damn good digging to find out. I'm presenting this material as Andras wrote it, and have only tossed in a few notes and additions in green text.
We will be discussing this list and many tangents (to be sure) on tomorrow's Always Record with Bill Klaus, David Plate, Andras Jones, John Fell Ryan, Mark LeClair and myself.
I want to thank Andras for presenting this idea because, among other fascinating tidbits, I think it offers us a new way to compare the films. Bill Klaus has of course created the "Kubrick Transformer" and I posited the movie poster angle on the Mask of God blog. But, with Andras' info, we can now take two films that had similar events coinciding with their releases (such as the films with Yankees/RedSox games), and ponder what that tells us about the way the two movies sync. Here we go:

History in Kubrick

In a conversation with Alan Abbadessa-Green, regarding the deaths and assassinations associated with the release dates of certain Stanley Kubrick films (a subject Alan explores in his book "Suicide Kings") it struck me that looking into the release dates for all of Kubrick’s films might reveal more interesting data. It does.
Just a few things before I give you the facts…
First, I explored these dates with simple Google and Wiki searches. It is by no means comprehensive and I invite others to add to it.
Second, I was struck by the way Kubrick’s earliest films, the ones he had the least control over (in terms of scheduling) had the most exciting syncs. Of course, it is possible that not enough history has accrued around the latter dates, and we may only be aware of the synchronistic resonance of June 26, 1987 (Full Metal Jacket) in a few decades.
What’s pretty clear as we view these dates is a strong correlation between Kubrick and rockets (missiles & spaceships) and the visual mediums (TV, satellites, celebrity) as well as strains of the Kennedy assassination, natural disasters, the twin Holocausts (US & Germany) and the Yankees v. Red Sox rivalry in baseball.
What is most interesting about this list is its apparent lack of intentionality. If we rule out a conspiracy on the part of the author as a factor here, we can simply take measure of the historic barnacles that attach themselves to the hull of a great artist’s vessel as it passes through consciousness. And just because we’ve taken the author’s intention out of the equation doesn’t mean our exploration won’t reveal something unique about the artist. In fact, I think we can learn just as much from the unintended consequences of Kubrick’s (or any artist’s work) as we can from knowing what they were trying to do. Of course, Kubrick, because of his longevity, the multi-leveled complexity of his films, and the amount of control he was able to exert over his productions, lends himself particularly well to this kind of exploration.
That said, and with all due respect to Mr. Kubrick, I see this list as an exquisite demonstration of the authorship of sync expressing itself through the constellation of action, documentation, time and the synchromystic witness (that’s us).
We begin with Kubrick’s first film, a documentary called “Day of The Fight”.
IMDB-description:“Based on Kubrick's pictorial for Look Magazine (January 18, 1949*) entitled "Prizefighter," "Day Of The Fight" tells of a day in the life of a middleweight Irish boxer named Walter Cartier, particularly the day of his bout with black middleweight Bobby James. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb
On Nov. 22, 1963, Stanley Kubrick was supposed to present his new film, Dr. Strangelove, Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, to the press. Shortly before the screening, word arrived that President Kennedy had been assassinated that day. The screening was canceled and, because the film treats a U.S. President character with less than the utmost respect, changes were made before the film’s release. The character of Major Kong had a line describing how “a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Dallas”—but because the President had been killed in Dallas, the line was changed to “in Vegas.” A pie-throwing sequence that Kubrick found too silly was also cut; it would have included the line “our beloved President has been struck down in his prime.” The film’s planned London premiere, scheduled for Dec. 12 that year, was also cancelled. Dr. Strangelove eventually opened in the U.S. on Jan. 29, 1964.

This week I was the guest on two radio shows that present similar topics from two wildly different perspectives. James Corbett of the Corbett Report, who broadcasts out of Japan, is a serious man. Vinny Eastwood is a radio host from New Zealand and his approach is to lighten things up with a healthy dash of comedy. Transitioning between the two shows was a little jarring for me, but a healthy embodiment of the balancing act I always talk about. These were also the first two video interviews I have done, which adds an interesting element for the interviewee. Funny thing is that I didn't know Vinny's show was on video so I came a bit under-dressed, but you get to see me in my natural habitat. :)

Bonus sync: I mention a comic book that I worked on with fellow-NewYorker Rammer Martinez Sanchez, right up to 9/11, when the work took a backseat to the real-life craziness around us. Here's a page Rammer drew in 1999 or 2000 that shows all of NYC and the surrounding area turned into a giant crater:
This sync should have been mentioned in my SyncBook Vol.1 chapter, alongside the other strange 9/11 precursors in my artwork leading up to 9/11, but I had actually forgotten about it. I only found this image a day or two before being contacted by Vinny Eastwood to do his show. The even crazier thing is that the story this image is from tells that only three people in all of New York survived. One of these men was named Vinny Eastman! That character was also a representation of extremes of comedy and tragedy, just like Vinny Eastwood's "lighter side of genocide" approach. . . The syncs are SO specific, that it's just F-ing insanity.

Then, on Wednesday, I was on James Corbett's Corbett Report. This was the first interview in a long time that I was really nervous about. I think that shows in the first few segments, where I'm a little hesitant to assert my position. However, after a silly live call-in I decided to take back that personal power and lay out my information to a place that is not so easy to challenge. In the last twenty minutes I lay out some of the mind-blowing information I have on the Osama bin Laden "killing." I think the shock on James Corbett's face at the end says it all. If a man like him can be flustered by the data, I don't feel so bad about my being so.
Tonight we talk to author and researcher Alan Abbadessa-Green, editor of The Sync Book, about the study of synchronicity in politics and world events. We discuss “the killing of the king” meme as it pertains to the deaths of Lincoln, JFK and Osama Bin Laden.

For oldschool sync heads there probably isn't too much new here, but the production quality is strong and the case is well argued (I don't agree with all his points, but I do support many of them). Last night I was the guest on The Middle Chamber, a radio show hosted by FraterX, "a member of nine different Esoteric Orders including the Knights Templar, Knight Masons, Rosicrucians, and Ancient Order of Druids."
There was a nice synchronicity here as well, in that I was speaking to fellow Sync Book author Andras Jones from Radio8Ball just before I went on air with FraterX. We needed to lay out a few final details of Tuesday's SyncBook event here in NYC, and I had to cut the call short since Middle Chamber was starting. So, Frater and I decided to bring Andras on in the second hour.
Two fellow Sync Book authors, Will and Doug, have been doing a weekly radio show called 42 Minutes. These are great morning chats on synchronicity and the nature of reality and so much more. The show is short (42 minutes, as the name implies) and, because of that, sort of goes rapid-fire.
In their last few episodes they have been breaking down chapters from the Sync Book and discussing the topics those chapters address. I'm so glad they are doing this because, if we've done our job well, the Sync Book should be a launching point for these types of conversations on a larger scale.
This week I joined them as they picked up where they left off from the week prior, talking about schizophrenia and entheogens and holographic reality and on and on.

About two weeks ago, I had dinner with a few friends from work. They were aware that I had just finished working on The Sync Book and they knew that it had something to do with magic. So, they asked for my opinion on a bunch of topics not really covered in the book (which takes magic as an esoteric study), but more along the lines of the "Supernatural" and experiences with ghosts and such. They talked about their supernatural experiences and I talked about mine (which include quite a few encounters with what might be considered poltergeists - most of these involve a particular house I lived in when I was younger). While these could be a topic for future blog posts, that's not really why I asked you here today.
At this dinner, while sharing "ghost stories," one of these guys pulls up a YouTube video of a Japanese girl looking into 3 mirrors. At some point, she turns around and one of her reflections "stays." Watch it here:
Yesterday, my wife and I went to the library and ended up grabbing two DVDs. One was Disney's Atlantis, only to come home and find a post on Mask of God about the same movie. The other was this strange Japanese movie, called House, that called out to me for some strange reason. I knew nothing about it and there was very little info on the DVD case (I actually thought it was going to be an animated movie), but it just seemed like I should pick it up. I turns out to be a crazy trippy horror-ish movie that was one mind fu3k after another. Anyway, about an hour into the movie, we see the main girl walk into a room with a similar 3 mirror set up as that YouTube clip.
I turn to my wife and say "I want to see her sit in front of those mirrors and brush her hair and then turn around and have one reflection stay, like in that YouTube clip we saw two weeks ago."
The movie cuts away to another scene for about 5 minutes, then cuts back to the room where the girl is brushing her hair and this happens:
Now, I am left with a question. To me, this wasn't exactly a normal "sync wink," but perhaps it was. Perhaps I somehow "knew" this sync was waiting for me and grabbed the movie because of it. Or, perhaps I manifested a desired reality...sort of creating an "intentional sync." That would be what we call "real magic."
The question, what role does an observer of media have in its actual creation, can be compared to the double slit experiment. Please take an additional 5 minutes of your day and watch this:

But it's all a little too perfect. I try not to put a conspiratorial angle on things and just present the patterns for what they are, but I don't know. Disney, who is behind the Pirates movies, also just copyrighted "Seal Team Six." It has been pointed out that it was the SIXTH team of navy SEALs that reportedly shot Bin Laden and the 6th Seal of Revelation also features a "Great Earthquake"

At 2:22 into this video clip, they make a reference her wearing "Nike sneakers" ....Remember the pattern combo of "Nike sneakers + comet + religious cult mass suicide" from our recent Time and Tide post? The whole point of this ritual, in Ghostbusters 2 anyway, was to "raise the positive vibrations" of the public. So we could look at this any number of ways. If you wish to see it as "Illuminists" trying to force a spiritual evolution via trials and hardships and/or mega-rituals OR that it could be the very universe doing that.... You decide. I'm not trying to tell you how it is or what it is. That's for you to decide and figure out for yourself.
"Apocalypse" (Ἀποκάλυψις) is a Greek word meaning "revelation", "an unveiling or unfolding of things not previously known and which could not be known apart from the unveiling."
Something I've been talking to people about for the last few weeks is more of a question than anything. What is the effect of having so much fear and anxiety pushed onto the public? What happens when we are all expecting the worst???
While I was looking at the link Eleleth provided to a forum on Synchromysticism, I came across this video series where Rik Clay touches on the same idea from a similar point of view:
If there is any truth to the idea that we play a part in manifesting our universe, than surely we need to begin to rethink a lot of this doom and gloom stuff. No matter what happens, we need to remain flexible and fluid, so that we can adapt to the crazy events that are flung our way each and every day.
Because we know what happens when we fill our mind with dark thoughts and fears that become real enough to destroy us...
This idea is also central to my book, Look At All The Happy Creatures, a story that seems less like fiction every day. At the end of the book, the world is facing a shift in consciousness that some perceive as a religious Rapture/Judgment, some perceive as a giant comet or asteroid coming to destroy us, and others perceive it as an alien invasion. The idea is that people get so hyped up on the fear, that it actually manifests and comes to destroy them.
I don't wish to imply that anyone should delude themselves or embrace their oppressors or anything like that. However, I am really starting to wonder:
What would happen if we started expecting the best?
