Green Eggs and Sam Bacile

"The Innocence of Muslims," the "Anti-Muslim Movie" sparking so much attention and protest recently, has also sparked a number of theories. Many are wondering if the film itself is a red herring, a hoax, or the product of provocateurs.

I find it interesting that the head-scratchingly bizarre low-quality low-budget YouTube video at the heart of the matter is being attributed to "amateur filmmaker" Sam Bacile. "In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Bacile identified himself as an Israeli-American."

It is no stretch to see the Green Eggs and Ham story and its character of "Sam I Am" as related to the dietary restrictions of Islam and Judaism.
Take note of how many images of the riots show food companies being destroyed (not that I am shedding any tears for fast-food corporatists).

Now, I'm not suggesting this is intentional or not, but I can't help but look at Sam Bacile's name without seeing this:

Sam I Am = Sam IM
Sam Bacile = IM Bacile
= Imbecile

Who among us is playing the fool, the imbecile?  It sure does look like a lot of western governments are itching for war (here and here, ad infinitum). They just need a good scapegoat. A good fool.

Speaking of Red Herrings...

  1. Maybe you could throw in
"And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street"
or as it was originally titled
"A Story That No One Can Beat".

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/And_to_Think_That_I_Saw_It_on_Mulberry_Street

" The story follows a boy named Marco, who describes the sights and sounds of imaginary people and vehicles traveling along Mulberry Street in an elaborate fantasy story he dreams up to tell to his father at the end of his walk..."
Marco, the boy out of this story returns in the next book (which could be about a red herring as well)
    "McElligot's Pool",
"it is a tale of a boy who is ridiculed for fishing in a small, polluted pool. In typical Seussian fashion, when confronted with the limitations of his situation, the young boy imagines ways in which he could catch any number of any kind of fish in the small pool".

  2. How weird is this story -
    "Protester Dies Burning American Flag"

    http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8535317/protester-dies-burning-american-flag

" A protester has died from the fumes of a burning American flag during demonstrations against an anti-Islam film in Pakistan, according to a report from a local newspaper.

Police used tear gas to disperse a crowd of more than 2000 protesters trying to reach the US consulate in the country's northwest, as fresh demonstrations erupted over the film Innocence of Muslims.

Protesters chanting anti-US slogans and burning the US flag gathered outside the mission in the city of Peshawar to vent their fury at the film, which was made in America and is deemed insulting to Islam.

According to Pakistan's Express Tribune one of the protesters fell ill and was rushed to hospital after inhaling the fumes of the burning flag.

The man, identified as Abdullah Ismail, later died although an exact cause of death was not released."

  3. "Man behind anti-Islam film arrested"

    http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8539948/anti-islam-filmmaker-arrested-in-la

"The US man behind a crudely produced anti-Islamic video posted to YouTube that has inflamed Muslims worldwide has been arrested for violating terms of his probation.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, was convicted in 2010 for federal bank fraud charges and sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Nakoula, a Christian originally from Egypt, went into hiding after he was identified as the man behind the trailer".

    So Sam he ain't.
He's left with (green) egg on his face.-)
